Edukasi Bijak Ber-Penyuluhan Keamanan Siber dan Bijak Berteknologi untuk Remaja dan Masyarakat Desa di Barus Utara (Studi Kasus: SMK N 1 Barus Utara)

The rapid expansion of Information and Communication Technology (ICT) in rural areas has significantly increased internet accessibility, particularly among vocational students and local communities. However, this digital exposure is often unaligned with adequate cybersecurity awareness and digital literacy, exposing users to risks such as phishing, identity theft, and cyberbullying. This community engagement program aimed to enhance cybersecurity awareness and foster ethical technology usage among youth and residents in North Barus, North Sumatra. Employing a Participatory Action Research (PAR) approach, the intervention involved 60 participants, comprising 40 students from SMK N 1 Barus Utara and 20 local community representatives. The program comprised structured workshops, practical demonstrations on two-factor authentication (2FA) and phishing identification, and interactive discussions on digital citizenship and relevant cyber laws. Program effectiveness was evaluated using pre-test and post-test instruments. The results demonstrated a substantial increase in average participant scores, rising from 44.1 prior to the intervention to 86.0 post-intervention, yielding an average normalized gain ($N\text{-Gain}$) of 0.75, which falls into the high-effectiveness category. Furthermore, a "Digital Literacy Ambassadors" group was established among students to ensure long-term peer education. In conclusion, combining interactive technical training with digital ethics successfully mitigates cyber vulnerability and promotes safe digital behavior in rural communities
