Eating Behavior, Adolescents, ObesityAbstrak
Eating behavior is a condition that describes a person's behavior towards eating manners, eating frequency, eating patterns, eating preferences, and food selection. Consumption of nutrients that are not optimal is associated with poor health. If the consumption of nutrients is always less than adequacy then a person will experience less nutrition, otherwise if consumption exceeds adequacy will suffer from more nutrition and obesity. A bad diet can lead to excess energy intake stored in the form of fat. The body has the ability to store unlimited fat so that the fat produced from macronutrients consumed by adolescents will increase fat cells and eventually adipose tissue increases resulting in obesity. The purpose of this study was to explain the relationship of balanced nutrition behavior with the incidence of obesity in students of Mts. Nurul Ittihadiyah Lubuk Pakam. This type of research is quantitative research with a cross sectional design with a total of 81 respondents. Data collection techniques are carried out by interviews and direct anthropometric measurements. Data analysis using the Spearman Correlation Test. The results of research conducted by researchers from 81 respondents found that the majority of eating behavior was not good at 59.3%, and the incidence of obesity became the dominant category of 63.0%. The results of the Spearman Correlation test obtained a p-value of 0.00 which means smaller than 0.05. Thus it can be concluded that there is a relationship between eating behavior and the incidence of obesity in MTs Students. Nurul Ittihadiyah Lubuk Pakam.
